THIS IS THE BEST CHICKEN!!!! I have used them to cater several parties and cookouts and always get compliments on their chicken! It is NOT greasy like Popeyes or KFC. The chicken meat is tender and they fry it in peanut oil. The staff is very nice and I love this place! I can't eat other chicken.

Well, unfortunately your only as good as your last experience. A coworker brought in some chicken from Golden Skillet and it was goooooood. I mean it was seasoned and fried to perfection.. It taste like home made chicken. I knew I had to make a trip to Golden Skillet in the near future but it was never a convenient time. I ended up making that trip today and I was utterly disappointed. I didn't notice any fowl smell like someone else mentioned in their review but I did notice a guy that was taking my order with a big buggar on his nose and tattoos on his face. The place also seemed a little dirty and run down but after trying that chicken the first time, dirt might be the key seasoning. I ordered 3 pieces of chicken, fries and potato salad (I know its a bunch of carbs but it seemed like the safest bet once I got there). My order was ready in less then 3 minutes.. I took it home (15 minutes away) and the chicken was still piping hot. The chicken was seasoned well but not as good as the first time I had it, it was dripping with grease, the fries were old and tasteless and the potato salad had a funny odor so it got tossed in the trash without being tasted. This place is on my "DO NOT EAT" list and I would only recommend you eat here if you request that they blot the grease from the chicken and give you fresh sides.

The chicken wings are still good BUT it stinks outside the facilities. Smelled like dead rodents. ewww I like the chicken but will not be making any special trips for this chicken.

I was surprised it was good a co-worker use to drive all the way from downtown DC to get chicken gizzards and have the hold office lit up with hot sauce and fried chicken so I tried the chicken is very good not cheap same as popeye and kfc the potoato wedges were good too. I recommend and I will be returning.
